Managing your Facebook Page, Instagram, and Messenger can be overwhelming. From creating content to engaging followers and replying to DMs, the process can eat up your time fast.
To solve this, Meta created a powerful all-in-one tool: Meta Business Suite.
Whether you’re running ads, scheduling posts, or analyzing performance across Facebook and Instagram, Meta Business Suite centralizes everything in one clean dashboard—on desktop and mobile.
What Is Meta Business Suite?
Meta Business Suite (formerly Facebook Business Suite) is a free tool by Meta designed to help businesses manage their Facebook Page, Instagram account, and Messenger messages all in one place.
It replaces the need to juggle between platforms or use separate tools like Facebook Page Manager. Whether you’re handling organic posts or paid ads, it’s now the go-to dashboard for businesses of all sizes.
Log into your Facebook account that manages your Page
This will automatically open the Meta Business Suite dashboard. If you were previously using Facebook Business Manager, you’ll be redirected here by default unless you switch back manually.
For mobile
Gain access to Facebook Business Suite on mobile through the Facebook Business Suite app.
Connecting your Facebook and Instagram accounts on Business Suite Setting
Before using Meta Business Suite to its full potential, make sure your Instagram account is a business or creator account and is properly connected to your Facebook Page.
Here’s how to do it:
Log into your Facebook account and go to your Page.
Click Settings (from the left menu).
Navigate to Linked Accounts > Instagram.
Follow the prompts to connect your Instagram account.
Why this matters: Connecting your accounts lets you cross-post content, run ads on both platforms, share engagement insights, and manage both channels from one dashboard.
Create a Business Portfolio
Once your Facebook Page and Instagram account are connected, the next step is to set up your Business Portfolio within Meta Business Suite (formerly called Business Manager).
The Business Portfolio is your control panel for managing assets, team access, payments, and advertising. It’s essential for organizing everything under one roof—especially if you’re working with a team or running ads.
Step by step guide to create your business portfolio
1. Enter Portfolio Name, Your Contact Details and Email Address
2. Add your Facebook Page and Instagram Account (If Any)
3. Add User and Assign Roles
4. Review and Confirm
Here’s what you can do inside your Business Portfolio:
Add Users
Invite employees, partners, or agencies to access your business assets. You can assign roles with different permissions such as:
Admin
Employee
Finance analyst
Ads manager
This allows you to control who can do what within your Business Suite.
Add Accounts
Link additional Facebook Pages, Instagram accounts, and even WhatsApp Business accounts to your portfolio. This is useful if you’re managing multiple brands or projects.
Set Up Payments
Under Payment Settings, add a primary payment method for your ad account. You can assign billing thresholds, manage receipts, and configure payment notifications.
Pro Tip: Add a backup payment method to prevent your ads from pausing due to failed transactions.
Create or Connect an Ads Account
You can either:
Create a new Meta Ads Account, or
Connect an existing one if you’ve already been running ads
Once set up, you’ll be able to:
Launch campaigns directly from Meta Business Suite
Monitor real-time performance metrics like reach, clicks, and ROAS
Adjust your budget or creatives without leaving the dashboard
You’ll still have the option to use Meta Ads Manager for more advanced campaign creation, A/B testing, audience refinement, and conversion tracking.
Here’s what you can do inside your Meta Ads Manager:
Run and Manage Ads
From within Meta Business Suite, you can:
Boost posts
Promote your Page
Create new ad campaigns
You’ll be able to preview ad performance, tweak copy or creative, and monitor results like reach and conversions. For advanced setups (custom audiences, A/B testing, retargeting), you’ll still access Meta Ads Manager.
💡 Pro Tip: Use free design tools like Canva to create high-performing visuals.
Add your content: text, images, video, location, hashtags, etc.
Choose to Publish Now or Schedule for later.
Want to plan stories in advance? You can do that too.
Explore Insights
Under the Content tab, you’ll find detailed performance metrics:
Post and story reach
Engagement and clicks
Audience demographics
Follower growth
Ad performance summaries
This gives you a complete picture of how your content is performing, all without needing to leave the dashboard or use third-party tools.
